The ultimate secret

The whole Bible revolves around the birth, crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Jesus submitted Himself to God’s plan of redemption of mankind. It is pertinent to mention that every human has to acknowledge the existence of the biggest problem called Sin, which no one is immune to. This Sin has been passed on to the human race by Adam, the first man God created on the planet Earth. Like how diseases or knowledge or character which are Genetically Inherited, it is a bitter truth that we inherit Sin from our forefathers. The Bible says that the penalty of sin is death (Romans 6:23). So everyone dies because of sin within us and much more than that there is no Hope after death. Just this life!!

If it is so, is there any way to be redeemed from sin? Bible says that without the shedding of blood there is no redemption from sin and that life is there only in blood. So there has to be a shedding of the blood to make atonement for the sin. But the shedding of blood has to be of an innocent one – a pure blood that is sinless and what Adam the first man has lost to Satan (the devil), could be now redeemed by man alone. So the sacrifice / substitute also had to be a human and not an animal like a lamb or goat. How it is possible to have a sinless man as the entire human race is already trapped in sin and every human inherits the sinful nature. It is for this reason that Jesus came in human form and became the ultimate sacrifice on the cross.

In the virgin birth of Christ, when Mary was conceived of Jesus, she was only a surrogate mother thus Jesus didn’t inherit the sinful nature. Jesus lived as fully human and fully God. The creator took the form of a man and underwent everything that a human being undergoes, yet He didn’t sin. As His blood is completely pure, blameless and innocent He became the substitute for you and I on the cross. He bore all our sin, sickness, curse and suffering on the cross so that you and I can walk free.

The written code of punishment (God’s wrath on Sin) is thus cancelled and it is so relieving to know that when we confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior , because of His shed blood and stripes, we receive forgiveness from sin and inherit blessing and victory in every area of our lives. No longer there is fear about death as Jesus rose up on the third day and appeared to many people.

The bible records the fact that His disciples searched for His body among the dead but were told by the angel that He is risen. A woman named Mary mistook the risen Jesus for a Gardener. As the tomb was empty, she asked Him if He knew where the body of Jesus was. When He called her ‘Mary’, she recognized Him immediately and cried ‘Rabboni’ which means ‘Teacher’. Our Redeemer lives! When we call upon the name of Jesus, He immediately comes to our aid. The resurrected Lord Jesus has given His authority and power to everyone who diligently seeks him. Jesus died for the entire Human race and rose up on the third day. Believing this truth and accepting Him as the only Lord and Saviour of our lives would set us free from the bondage of Sin and be accepted as the children of God Himself!!
